Sosa Blames Skin Change on Face Cream
Sammy Sosa is not suffering from a skin disorder, and no, he is not trying to look like Michael Jackson.
The famous former baseball player garnered media attention when a photograph surfaced that showed a much lighter-skinned man than the public remembered. Over the past few days, people have been abuzz with speculation, but Sosa finally put an end to the rumors.
In the first public remarks he's made, he attributed the change to a face cream, reports examiner.com. He said he has been using a bleaching cream that softens his skin, but affects his pigmentation.
He assured everyone that he does not want to look like Michael Jackson.
He also attributed the supposedly shocking difference to the bright TV lights.
Sosa remained jovial, joking about his lighter skin tone.
"I'm going to market it," he said. "I'm a businessman."
He would not reveal the name of the cream, but did say that he had purchased it in Europe.
