Shayne Lamas Slapped With DUI

Best known for winning the 12th season of The Bachelor, Shayne Lamas now faces another well-documented celebrity reality: the DUI.

According to US Magazine, "Shayne Lamas was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in Venice, Calif., around 1 a.m. Saturday morning."

Lamas herself confirmed the report, telling E! News, "Early Saturday morning, after consuming one drink, I willingly drove through a mandatory check point on my way home with complete confidence of passing…However, the breathalyzer indicated that I was over the legal limit of blood alcohol content and was arrested onsite."

But while Lamas maintains that a single drink pushed her past the legal limits, she tells E!, "I take full responsibility for my lack of judgment. I have always strived to be a role model for my friends, family and fans and have never nor will ever condone drinking and driving. I apologize for all those I have disappointed, including myself."

While the reality star didn't spend much time in jail—released later that morning—Lamas joins a long list of celebrities who navigate the world of stardom with one hand on the wheel and the other on the bottle.

Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Mickey Rourke, Nicole Richie, Kiefer Sutherland—these are just a few of the celebs who didn't know their (legal) limits. Some celebrities faced imprisonment, some headed directly to rehab, and others still await sentencing. We will have to wait until Lamas' court date on December 9th to find out her fate.
