'Secret Diary of a Call Girl' Identity Revealed

After a long time of secrecy, the true identity of the woman behind the Showtime series ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl' has come out.

Her name is Dr. Brooke Mangnati and she is 34 years old. Yes, she is a doctor! In fact she even did the research for her popular blog when she was writing her thesis to get her doctorate. She came out and told the UK's Sunday Times that she was in fact the author of "Belle de Jour: Diary of a London Call Girl."

In 2003 when she was working on her doctorate, Magnanti prostituted herself for 14 months to pay her rent. An old flame was threatening to leak details of her secret life to the press, so she came out herself and revealed her secret.

There has been much criticism about her blog because some people feel that it glamorizes prostitution and cannot possibly be the truth.
