'Charlie's Angels' May Return to the Small Screen
The 1970s hit show, "Charlie's Angels," about three female private detectives may be coming back to the small screen according to Variety, the New York Daily News reported. ABC is almost ready to start shooting a pilot for the show, but no airing date has been decided.
"Charlie's Angels," which made Farrah Fawcett's name and hair famous, was a series from 1976-1981. It was made into a big-screen movie in 2000 and 2003, starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu as the three butt-kicking agents.
According to the NY Daily News, a modern version of the show is expected to be a success, given the success of the two films.
Josh Friedman, behind Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Chronicles" will write and executive produce the new "Angels." Also onboard are original producer Leonard Goldberg and Barrymore, who not only starred, but produced the 2000 film.
