New Moon premiere a Fan Frenzy
Watch out Westwood residents. They may want to suck your blood.
Fans of the phenomenon "Twilight" have taken over the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
According to the Washington Post, thousands of fans from as far away as New York filled the streets near UCLA on Monday, Nov. 16, in hopes of catching a glimpse of the "Twilight" cast as they attended the evening premiere of the latest film in the series "New Moon."
Many of the "twi-hards," as they call themselves, were young women and arrived as early as Thursday afternoon to ensure a place in line for tickets that allowed them to watch the stars' arrivals on the red carpet. All of the 800 available tickets were distributed by Monday morning.
Many of the cheering fans wore T-shirts pledging their allegiance to the movie's bloodsucking male stars Robert Patterson or Taylor Lautner.
