Nicole Richie Granted Restraining Order Against Two Photographers
Two over-aggressive photographers who rear-ended celebrity Nicole Richie's vehicle last month have been hit with a restraining order from the judge involved with the case. Richie reportedly had been terrified of the two photographers who she claimed had been harassing and stalking her on a daily basis, according to People.com. She sought out a restraining order against the two photographers, Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Miguel, out of fear that they might cause another accident in the future with her two children in the car.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carol Goodson expressed her hesitance to make a ruling due to their First Amendment rights but both Arrivabene and Miguel announced that they would have no problem abiding by the restrictions that had been established in the restraining order, according to The Associated Press. Miguel went out of his way to apologize to Richie during the proceedings, stating, "I want to apologize for the accident. You don't have to worry about us. I come from a good family."
Richie's husband Joel Madden, the lead singer of Good Charlotte, was present at the hearing and he also expressed his desire to have restrictions placed against the two photographers so that they could not take pictures of the couple or their children in the future.
