'Idol' Winner Kris Allen Launches New CD

He is well aware that he is the complete and polar opposite of his ‘American Idol' season 8 companion Adam Lambert. He is aware that he has yet to be on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and does not wear guy liner. He knows all of this, and yet he is more than content with the way his new self-titled album has turned out.

Kris Allen the 24-year-old singer worked diligently on his album all during the ‘American Idol' summer tour. He appears on all of the tracks and even helped write most of them. Like one might expect from this soulful rocker, Allen's album has relaxed ballads and up tempo rock songs so there is something for everyone on his album.

After his run on ‘American Idol' Allen says that he is still not completely used to being famous. One day he was a regular guy who was happily married, and the next day he was launched into the music industry and given the key to unlock all of his dreams.
