American Idol to Release New Album

Season 8 "American Idol" winner Kris Allen will release his self-titled album this coming Tuesday, the 17th of November. Besides supplying his voice and piano and guitar talents, Allen also wrote nine of the thirteen tracks.

Allen will also be appearing on several television shows beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, November 17, to promote his new album. Be sure to watch Allen on "Good Morning America," "It's On With Alexa Chung," "Live With Regis And Kelly," VH1's "Top 20 Countdown," and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

He will also present an award at the American Music Awards, which will broadcast live on Sunday, November 22, 2009.

Although Allen won "American Idol," runner-up Adam Lambert appears to be receiving much more attention, but Allen doesn't seem to mind: "I think that's how I went through the competition as well. I did my thing, and it worked out. And that's how I'm going to do my music career. I'm just going to do my thing, what I like to do, and hopefully it works out," says Allen.

Lambert's album, "For Your Entertainment," will be released next week on Tuesday, the 24th of November.
