Jolie and Pitt Launch Jewelry Line
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are working on a new charitable project. No, they're not adopting another baby from a third world country or developing another housing project overseas; this time, they have planned something a little simpler.
According to the Boston Herald, the couple has designed a limited-edition collection of jewelry for British jeweler Asprey. The collection, called "The Protector," is snake-themed, and pieces include necklaces, earrings, pendants, and rings, among other pieces for children such as a baby spoon, a tooth box, and an eggcup. Proceeds from the sale of "The Protector" will go to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which was co-founded by Jolie in 2006.
Jolie developed the idea after she was given a snake-shaped ring while pregnant with Shiloh. She has said she now views snakes as a protector for her family. People.com reported that the collection was originally for children (explaining the baby spoon, etc,), but then stemmed into a high-end jewelry line instead. "The Protector" will be available November 17.
