Belle du Jour Comes Clean

Dr. Brooke Magnanti, a child health researcher and specialist in developmental neurotoxicology and cancer epidemiology at the University of Bristol, has admitted to the world that she is the famous London call girl Belle du Jour, who wrote "Secret Diary of a Call Girl."

According to ABC News, Magnanti revealed her true identity in the Sunday Times of London. The young doctor said she started prostitution while writing her Ph.D thesis in 2003, and continued in the trade for over a year. She finally revealed her secret because she did not want to hold it in any longer, and was afraid her ex-boyfriend would expose her.

Now that she has been revealed as the famous call girl, she requests via her blog that people be respectful of her workplace and wishes that fans keep away, so as not to compromise the safety of the patients staying there.
