Ray Lewis Furious Over Brady Quinn's Cheap Shot on Monday Night

Brady Quinn drew a 15-yard penalty for diving at the legs of Ravens Pro Bowl OLB Terrell Suggs after throwing an interception, which resulted in an injury for Suggs

After throwing an interception in the third quarter of Monday night's 16-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn was chasing after the interceptor, defensive back Chris Carr, when he dove at the knees of Ravens Pro Bowl outside linebacker Terrell Suggs. Quinn connected with Suggs' knee and injured the standout defender, drawing a 15-yard penalty from game officials as well as the ire of Ravens All-Pro middle linebacker Ray Lewis.

In a statement provided to The Associated Press, Lewis vented his frustration over the play by saying, "When you're running down and you're looking at the quarterback going at somebody's knees who doesn't even have the ball. I want to see if he gets the same fine I got or even higher. Now this man is out four or five weeks because of some baloney like that. That's an illegal blow."Lewis' reference to a fine that he received stems from a late-hit personal foul penalty that the All-Pro linebacker received for a hit to the head of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco five weeks ago. Medical personnel for the Baltimore Ravens have yet to come to a long-term prognosis for Suggs' injured knee but he is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday.

Quinn, who worked out with Suggs in Arizona during the offseason, apologized for the incident and expressed remorse on the field after he saw that he had injured Suggs.
