Going Gaga for Gossip Girl

It didn't take place until the end of the show, but the greatly talked about Lady Gaga cameo on "Gossip Girl" happened Monday night. She performed her new single, "Bad Romance" in front of an audience of NYU students.

Leighton Meester's character, Blair Waldorf, needed to get back to being the Queen Bee of NYU, and there was no better way of doing that than getting her step-dad, an entertainment lawyer, to convince Lady Gaga to perform on a student cabaret night.

Gaga performed in an extravagant red gown, surrounded by male backup dancers. She seemed to drift around the stage, utilizing every aspect of the stage, her backup dancers, and a ladder to make her performance unforgettable.

Before appearing on the show, Gaga had an interview with MTV News in which she wanted to taker her individual and unique persona to the mainstream. Gaga used "Gossip Girl" and her cameo to achieve this goal flawlessly.
