The Boss is Back On Melrose Place

Amanda Woodward, played by Heather Locklear, returns tonight to "Melrose Place." She walks into the office strong and confident, and immediately takes no time berating the employees and making it clear that she's the boss, and she's back.

Locklear played Woodward in the original "Melrose Place," so getting back into the vixen mindset she left us with ten years ago was not too difficult, but getting into the new shoes were. Locklear is walking around slippery courtyard floors in incredibly high stilettos trying to give the other characters attitude, and Locklear found it a little strenuous.

Shoe dilemmas aside, the other challenge for Locklear was the dialogue. "It's faster and it's seedier, so I have to get used to that," Locklear told the LA Times. Channeling the feisty Amanda is no problem, but the new script was a bit of work.

CW is hoping that the return of some old cast members will help give the show higher ratings. In the 16th episode, other former cast members Thomas Calabro, Josie Bissett, and Daphne Zuniga are coming back.
