Senator Reid to Unveil Health Care Reform Legislation on Wednesday

The health care reform bill that was proposed by House Democrats was passed by a vote of 220 to 215 and Senator Harry Reid is primed to introduce the version created by Democratic Senators

The highly anticipated release of the Democratic Senators' health care reform bill is expected to occur on Wednesday. The legislation's creation has been spearheaded by Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid and according to Reuters, a vote on the bill is expected to be scheduled for later in the week. The introduction of the health care reform legislation that has been developed by Democratic Senators comes less than two weeks after the version that was created by House Democrats was passed by the narrowest of margins in a 220 to 215 vote.

While it is unknown at present time as to whether or not Senate Republicans will vote unanimously against Senator Reid's health care bill, several prominent Republican politicians have been rallying for protests against the legislation for those who are as opposed to it as they are. Senator Reid has informed Senate Democrats that there will be a briefing on the health care reform bill during a 5 P.M. meeting scheduled to occur on Wednesday.

The unveiling of the health care legislation from Senate Democrats has been delayed due to cost estimates that Senator Reid had requested that failed to arrive promptly. According to Reuters, the proposed legislation will need to have 60 Senators vote in favor of it in order for it to be passed and there are exactly 60 seats controlled in the Senate by Democrats.
