Depp Would Return to "Pirates Of The Caribbean"
Johnny Depp, who plays the charming Captain Jack Sparrow in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy, says that his return to the series depends on the quality of the script. The fourth installment, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," has been having some difficulties taking off.
First, Depp's creative partner and Disney studio chief Dick Cook left the company, which Depp said left "a crack in his enthusiasm from the fourth Pirates' film." Besides Cook leaving, Gore Verbinski, who directed the first three movies, has also moved onto other projects. The director for the fourth movie is Rob Marshall.
Depp, who has recently been named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, would love to set sail again as pirate Jack Sparrow, but it depends on the script, story line, and the direction the film will go in.
