Krupa and Hough Hang Up Their Dancing Shoes
Model Joanna Krupa will not be on the cover of any magazine for winning "Dancing with the Stars."
The third runner-up and her partner Derek Hough were eliminated on Tuesday night's live result show.
After being scored by the judges on Monday night the pair landed in second place with a total of 81 points out of a possible 90. They had earned 27 out of 30 points for all three of their dances, which included the Viennese waltz, the cha-cha, and a salsa.
Home viewers' votes were then added to the judges' input, and that was the downfall. Krupa has had a decidedly lower fan base than the other stars throughout the entire season.
Like most other eliminated contestants, Krupa was thankful for the chance to participate in the show at all.
"It's been such an amazing experience, thank you to the judges," Krupa said after hearing the bad news, reports Reality Tv World. "I've grown as a person and thank you for giving me the opportunity. I had a great partner."
Three couples now remain: Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel, Mya and Dmitry Chaplin, and Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson. They will battle it out on Monday night's final performance show. On Tuesday, the winner will be announced.
