Terrorist Attacks Continue in Pakistan, Bomb Kills Two Policemen
It was reported late Wednesday night that a suicide terrorist attack occurred at a courthouse located in Peshawar, Pakistan that resulted in the death of 19 people. The attack was the tenth of its kind to occur over the past six weeks as retaliation from militants continues to devastate Peshawar, Pakistan as a result of action that has been taken by the Pakistani Army along the border of Afghanistan, according to The Los Angeles Times.
The Associated Press is reporting that less than 24 hours later, another terrorist attack has occurred in Peshawar that has resulted in the death of two police officers. A bomb exploded that obliterated a police vehicle, wounding five and killing two in the process. Pakistani police official Mohammad Karim Khan commented on the explosion by shedding detail about the bomb itself. He said, "It was a remote-controlled bomb packed with steel pellets, which was planted on the roadside."
Three of the five people who were wounded by the bomb's explosion were reportedly police officers as Taliban militants continue to follow their pattern of specifically targeting Pakistani authority figures. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that prior to today's police vehicle bombing, a startling 247 people have been killed in Peshawar since the militants began their path of destruction.
