Sen. John Kerry's Daughter Gets DUI
John Kerry's daughter was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Senator John Kerry's daughter, Alexandra,was arrested in Hollywood Thursday, earning the 36-year-old a misdemeanor charge of driving under the infleunece, according to ABC News.
Los Angeles police said Alexandra was released on $5,000 bail.
Her father issued a statement stating that she was pulled over due to expired registration on her vehicle and released after passing a breathalyzer test.
TMZ reported that the Kerry's daughter was arrested after failing to pass a sobriety test, and then denied a preliminary alcohol screening test. A formal blood-alcohol test was taken once she reached the police station, when she was found to be slightly under the legal limit.
It is yet to be determined if the formal charges will be pressed.
