Oprah Winfrey Will Leave Talk Show In 2011
Oprah Winfrey will announce Friday she will end her talk show in Sept. 2011.
Oprah Winfrey's production company, Harpo Productions Inc., said Thursday night that the talk show host will announce Friday that her show will end in 2011. Winfrey will end her talk show on the 25th season on air.
No details will be given until "The Oprah Winfrey Show" broadcast Friday.
Winfrey has been in syndication since 1986. Her empire is not only the talk show but includes films, books, magazines, and web sites. "The Oprah Winfrey Show" broadcasts from Chicago, on ABC stations across the United States. The talk show averaged about 7.1 million viewers this year.
