Oprah to End Show in 2011
In a statement made by her rep, Oprah Winfrey announced that after 25 years of hosting The Oprah Winfrey Show' she will bring it to a close.
Winfrey, 55, will announce on her live show on Friday her decision to end her long running program on September 9, 2011. This will not be the last we see of Oprah though. She has started up her own cable network, OWN-the Oprah Winfrey Network, and rumors are flying that she will launch her program there.
"We wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors," CBS networks said earlier this week.
Winfrey reached number 45 on the Forbes list of most influential people. She has reached the world with her talk show and reaches about 7.1 million viewers daily. She also helped launch the career of Dr. Phil.
