James Van Der Beek Files for Divorce

According to Los Angeles court documents, actor James Van Der Beek has filed for divorce from wife, actress, Heather Ann McComb. The couple was married for nearly six years. They had no children together. "Dawson's Creek" star Van Der Beek is citing irreconcilable differences.

The duo separated earlier this year.

Van Der Beek and McComb, both 32, met while Van Der Beek was working on the "Dawson's Creek" series. McComb's sister reportedly was the pair's matchmaker. They were engaged in 2003. They married over the Fourth of July weekend that year at an outdoor ceremony in Malibu. Guests included "Dawson's Creek" costars Michelle Williams, Busy Phillips and friend Soleil Moon Frye.
