With three Democratic senators reportedly undecided as to which way they will vote in regards to the health care reform bill, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid tries to persuade them.

A vote is scheduled to occur on Saturday night in the Senate and it serves as the first hurdle for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's health care reform legislation. In order for the bill to move on to the next step, Senator Reid from Nevada will need every Democratic senator and Independent senator to vote in favor of the legislation since Republican senators are expected to unanimously oppose it. According to Mercury News, there are currently three moderate Democrats who are unsatisfied with various components of the legislation and Senator Reid is going through the process of attempting to persuade them to vote in favor of the bill.

The three unidentified Democratic senators have not revealed whether or not they are leaning one way or another but Senator Reid is allegedly concerned due to the fact that if even one of the three opts to vote against it, his legislation will not be approved.

One of the most controversial aspects of Senator Reid's bill is the public option that contains an opt-out clause. Democratic Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia, who has revealed that he will vote in favor of the legislation on Saturday, has announced his recommendation for the health care reform bill.

Senator Rockefeller hopes to see the implementation of an amendment that would effectively require the public plan to pay for hospitals and other health care providers based predominantly on Medicare rates.
