Klum Hosts Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Six Weeks After Giving Birth
Supermodel Heidi Klum gave birth to her baby daughter, Lou, less than six weeks ago but she managed to not only host Thursday night's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show but also to walk the runway in such a short period of time after giving birth. Klum surprised everyone in attendance by walking the runway less than six full weeks since she gave birth to Lou, though she wore an over-the-top dress as opposed to her patented bra and panties modeling attire, according to USA Today.
Klum opted to host the event this year due to apprehension that she had about the amount of time that she would have had to plan if she chose to walk the runway in her signature runway attire. She responded to a question about walking the runway in bra and panties by saying, "[I] wasn't quite ready yet. This kind of takes a lot of planning. When you have a baby, you can't really know if in five weeks' time you're like everyone else."
Klum was joined at the event by prominent supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Marisa Miller, while Adriana Lima was absent from the event after giving birth to her first child over the weekend. Celebrities in attendance at Thursday night's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show included hip-hop artists Jay-Z, Dr. Dre and The Black Eyed Peas, R&B singer Keri Hilson and actress Michelle Trachtenberg.
