One Killed, Four Injured in Accident Involving Miley Cyrus' Tour Bus

Singer/actress Miley Cyrus was not on board of her tour bus when it overturned on Friday but the accident resulted in the death of one person

Virginia State Police is reporting that the tour bus for singer/actress Miley Cyrus overturned on Friday, resulting in the death of one unidentified person as well as injures to four others. The accident occurred on I-85 in Richmond, Virginia at mile marker 55, which is reportedly located directly in front of a rest area. The person who was killed in the overturning of Cyrus' tour bus was the driver of the vehicle, according to WTVR News in Richmond, Virginia.

Police sergeant Thomas Molnar clarified that the accident occurred at 8:15 A.M. on Friday morning and that the injuries that were sustained to four of the other nine passengers who were aboard the tour bus are believed to have been minor. It has been confirmed that the 17-year-old celebrity, Cyrus, was not on board of the tour bus at the time of the accident.

The next scheduled performance that Cyrus was slated to appear at was to be held on Sunday in Greensboro, North Carolina, according to her official website. There has been no word as of yet from the camp of Cyrus, whose 18th birthday will occur on Monday, November 23, as to whether or not the concert will go on as scheduled.
