Brad Pitt's Production Company Purchased Rights To "Dark Void"
Brad Pitt's production company purchased the rights to video game "Dark Void," reported the Boston Herald.
The video game, which is being published by company Capcom, will not be released until January of next year in North America and Europe.
Plan B Entertainment, Pitt's production company, bought the film rights of the game and is developing it as a sci-fi and action film. The rights were bought from the developer company Airtight, which was started by a group of ex-Microsoft game developers in 2004, by Plan B and its partner Reliance BIG Entertainment.
The video's movie deal was also handled by the Capcom company.
The video game follows a 1950s pilot who crashes in the Bermuda Triangle arriving at an alternate world where aliens with superior technology plan to take over the world.
"Dark Void" will be released in January 19th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and will be sold for $60.
