Thurman and Pattinson to Star Together
Robert Pattinson must be counting his lucky stars right now because he is set to star with one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Uma Thurman will star alongside Pattinson in "Bel Ami," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the film, an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's short story, Pattinson plays George Durey, a young journalist. As a child, Durey suffers through poverty, but finally wheedles his way to the top by engaging in relationships with the leading ladies of Paris.
Thurman will play the wife of a friend of Durey's. Through her connections and insider knowledge of the Paris social life, she helps Durey throughout his journey to the top. Eventually, the two marry.
Declan Donnellan, a London theater director, is making his breakout in movie directing with this film. Uberto Pasolini has signed on to produce through Redwave Films.Shooting will begin next year in Paris. As of now, the estimated release date is sometime in 2011.
