Man Marries His Virtual Girlfriend

A man married his virtual, non existant girlfriend in Guam

A man called SAL9000 has married his virtual girlfriend whom he met online, and had a public reception MyFoxDFW.com has reported.

According to the website, the man reportedly fell in love with a videogame character in the video game Love Plus. Her name is Nene Anegasaki. He plans to have a wedding reception in Tokyo.

Unfortunately since Nene does not exist, the man took his Nintendo DS to Guam where he could have a legal ceremony and honeymoon. MyFoxDFW.com reports that the man will livecast a video of the wedding reception soon.

SAL9000 met his wife on the game Love Plus which requires its users to find virtual girlfriends, buy them things, and take them out on dates much like they would with a real girl. The goal is to make their girlfriends as happy as they can. The players can increase their manliness by studying, working out and learning how to solve important issues, such as why their girlfriends are upset. If the player fails to do this, the game will restart in 100 days.
