Michael J. Fox Rocks the Stage for Parkinson's
Parkinson's is a debilitating disease. Do you think that stops Michael J. Fox from rocking out?
Fox held his annual "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's" benefit, Saturday, and he brought out the legends of rock n' roll to party hardy, Radaronline.com reports.
Steven Tyler, Gregg Allman, Roger Daltrey and Elvis Costello all jammed with Michael on stage in a ballroom at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel, with Denis Leary as the hilarious master of ceremony. Fox's actress wife Tracy Pollan spoke from the heart about how important it is to find a cure to this insidious disease.
Not only did Fox's family come out to support, but newlyweds Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds, to Martin Scorsese and funnyman Ben Stiller all showed up to show support.
Fox was first diagnosed with Parkinson's disease back in 1991, and has since been making a concerted effort to raise awareness and funding for medical research. His Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Reasearch has rasied millions of dollars for the cause.
Rock on, Fox!
