While ABC's new series 'Cougar Town' was scheduled to be shut down during the week of Thanksgiving, it seems production will be shut down longer than a week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A statement released by ABC claimed the break would occur "in order for Courtney to deal with a private family matter."
The series revolves around Cox's role as a single mother in her 40s and may bring a little bit of Cox's past with her. Lisa Kudrow, Cox's former co-star from hit series Friends, will be making a guest appearance, according to the New York Daily News.
ABC has already committed to taking on the series for a year. It is yet to be determined when production will continue.
