Robin Thicke and wife choose first child's name early

Singer/songwriter Robin Thicke and wife, actress Paula Patton, have already picked out their first child's name, even though the boy or girl isn't due until the middle of 2010.

Even though singer/songwriter Robin Thicke and actress wife Paula Patton's first child isn't expected to arrive for a few more months, the couple has already nailed the child's name, whether it be a boy or a girl.

According to an article on People.com, "‘We like Julian if it's a boy and Isabella if it's a girl,' Thicke said Saturday while hosting at The Bank nightclub in Las Vegas.

Patton is due to deliver the couple's first child in May. They were married on June 11, 2005 and were high school sweethearts who met at 14 years old.

"My wife is good," he said, "I'm just trying to make her as comfortable as possible and hopefully nature will take care of the rest and give us a healthy baby."

This being his maiden voyage into parenthood, Thicke has received a huge amount of guidance as the momentous occasion draws near, "The best advice I've got was I've been told just to enjoy this moment and it's the most special time in your life. It can seem stressful and worrisome, but it's the best time and we're excited."

Thicke is the son of ex-"Growing Pains" actor Alan Thicke and his first wife, "Days of our Lives" actress and singer, Gloria Loring.

Thicke began his songwriting career by writing songs for successful artists like Christina Aguilera, Mya, Brandy and New Kids on the Block's Jordan Knight.

Thicke won his first Grammy Award for his contributions on Usher's 2004 album, "Confessions."

In 2006, Thicke's sophomore album, "The Evolution of Robin Thicke," which included the ballad, "Lost Without U," became a breakout smash. It peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, making Thicke the first Caucasian male artist to top that chart since George Michael.
