Not Viewer's Kind of Town

ABC's new reality series My Kind of Town premiered on Sunday to poor ratings despite having the popular Extreme Makeover: Home Edition as its lead in. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition had 11.4 million viewers during the eight o'clock hour. Viewership dropped to 7.1 million by the time My Kind of Town started at 9PM.

My Kind of Town brings residents from small towns across the country to the ABC television studio in New York City where they try and win prizes for themselves and their fellow townspeople through games and gags.

Repeats of The Family Guy and American Dad gave FOX the upper hand in the 9PM time slot. In spite of My Kind of Town's lackluster performance, ABC still won the ratings war on Sunday night
