Howard K. Stern Settles Lawsuit Against Rita Cosby

Howard K. Stern has settled the $60 million lawsuit against author Rita Cosby

Howard K. Stern settled a lawsuit against Rita Cosby, reported E! Online.

Stern settled the $60 million defamation suit he filed against Cosby over her book "Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death."

Cosby claimed in her book Stern engaged in sexual relations with Anna Nicole's ex-lover and father of her daughter, Larry Birkhead. Cosby also suggested the two men made a deal in which Stern would support Birkhead to gain custody over daughter Dannielynn and in exchange Birkhead would help Stern remain an executor of Smith's estate.

Stern had also dropped charges against Smith's former bodyguard, whom he claimed was Cosby's source.

A petition for dismissal was filed on Friday but the terms of the settlement remain private.

Rita Cosby, a former MSNBC news anchor, wrote "Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death."

Currently Stern is facing criminal trial on whether he took part in the conspiracy to drug Smith causing her death.
