ABC Cancels Adam Lambert Appearance
Adam Lambert certainly made an impression during his homosexually amped performance at the American Music Awards Sunday. In fact, according to E!, ABC received over "1,500 complaints" from concerned viewers after his appearance, in which he kissed a male pianist, shoved a guy's face in his crotch, and topped his performance off with a middle finger to the camera.
The glamorous American Idol runner-up, also known as "Glambert," is now being rejected by the ABC network. His scheduled appearance on the Good Morning America show was set to be tomorrow, however, producers canceled him due to the number of complaints of his last performance.
"Given Adam Lambert's controversial live performance on the AMAs we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning," a representative for ABC said in a statement.
CBS, on the other hand, has no problems with representing the ever-controversial Glambert. Just moments after news broke of the cancelation, CBS announced that Lambert will make an appearance on The Early Show.
In an interview with MTV, Lambert explained why he flipped the finger during his performance.
"Literally, as I did it, I went, 'Oh god, what am I doing?' I was out of body. You know, the finger was to the people that have been criticizing me. The finger was to the people who doubt me. The finger was to the people that were about to censor me. The finger was not to fans or people who support me at all, by any means"
