The Oprah Winfrey Show Will No Longer Air Seasonal Episode
Every Thanksgiving, "The Oprah Winfrey Show" airs a 'Favorite Things' episode. Not this year. According to the TV Guide, a Harpo rep has announced no plans for the seasonal special to occur this year, as the last year of the popular talk show commences.
The seasonal special first premiered in 2002, growing to become a popular Thanksgiving tradition for many. The show consisted of Winfrey's favorite things, which she would then give to every audience member. In the past, the audience has received anything from Ralph Lauren sweats to computers.
And not only do audience members walk out with gifts, but the favorite items tend to become favorites for many after the show.
Seven years and many gifts later, the 'Favorite Things' episode will no longer be a Thanksgiving tradition.
