Alicia Keys Debuts Jewelry Line
Alicia Keys debuted her new jewelry designs, reported People Magazine.
The Grammy Award winning R&B singer released her new line of hand-crafted jewelry from her Fall 2010 collection.
The Barber's Daughters designer, Gisele Theriault, co-designed the jewels with Keys. The jewelry is meant to be inspirational with inspirational writing carved on the back.
The prices for the collection items range from $85 to $2,500.
Each piece of jewelry is inscribed with inspirational sayings which the artist and designer chose. The sayings are quotes by iconic figures including Gandhi, Buddha and Shakespeare.
Recently celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt began designing a new line of jewelry inspired by the snake shape; an idea Jolie received from a ring she received when their son Maddox was adopted.
On Tuesday Keys performed a set of songs on the Today show to promote her new upcoming album "The Element of Freedom."
The collection includes a necklace made for the benefit Keep a Child Alive, which is sold at $295.
