It's Over for Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal
According to <i>People</i>, actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon have ended their relationship.
After over two years together, People magazine is reporting that award-winning actors Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have split. The magazine's source, who is supposedly close to the couple, gave no reason for the break.
Rumors of a relationship began while the two were filming the 2007 thriller Rendition. The couple still seemed tight this past April when they attended the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Just last month, the 33-year-old Legally Blonde actress told InStyle, "We spend the weekends outside L.A, in Ojai, where I have a farmhouse. We have chickens and we grow cucumbers and tomatoes. I love it. It reminds me of where I grew up in Tennessee."
Both Witherspoon and the 28-year-old Donnie Darko actor were honored for their film work in 2006. Witherspoon won the Oscar for best supporting actress for her role as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line while Gyllenhaal's performance in Brokeback Mountain earned him a best supporting actor nod.
Witherspoon has two children with her ex-husband, fellow Cruel Intentions actor Ryan Phillippe, 10-year-old Ava, and 6-year-old Deacon.
