Derek Jeter To Build Massive Estate

While some were eating turkey and dressing, some were giving thanks to massive mansions.

New York Yankees' slugger Derek Jeter is building what will be the single largest home in Tampa, Florida, and all of it is to share with his actress girlfriend Minka Kelly.

Radaronline.com reports the more-than-30,000 sq. ft waterfront mansion has seven bedrooms, one that only will be used to hold his baseball memorabilia, and a nine-car garage. It's located on St. Davis Island, the most exclusive enclave in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area.



Jeter and his former "Friday Night Lights" star girlfriend spent part of their Thanksgiving holiday inspecting the construction of their new home and going over interior designs.

They couple would like to move into the home next summer. Some are saying the estate is a perfect setting for a wedding. Maybe the clamoring of construction machinery will be replaced with the melodious ring of wedding bells.
