Granada TV lands on StarHub
On Tuesday, ITV Studios Global Entertainment will initiate a general entertainment web in Singapore.
According to Variety.com, "Granada TV, a brand virtually extinct in the U.K., will bow on the StarHub pay platform."
Shows on the web will include the crime saga "Prime Suspect," the entertainment show "Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway" and the U.K. version of "The Jerry Springer Show" entitled "The Springer Show."
James Ross, regional director, Asia, ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said "The launch of Granada TV on StarHub is another milestone since its 2008 launch. Granada TV is now available in over a dozen territories with more distribution agreements set to be announced in the coming months."
StarHub is a telecommunications company and the second largest mobile operator and the sole cable television operator in Singapore. Its subsidiaries include StarHub Mobile, a GSM and 3G mobile telephone network, StarHub TV, a digital cable network, StarHub Internet, residential dial-up internet and commercial fixed network services and StarHub online, a residential broadband internet service via cable and residential fixed network voice service via cable.
