Ron Wood Out On Bail Following Night Of Arrest

Rolling Stone guitarist Ron Wood was arrested on suspicion of assault late Wednesday evening. A spokesman for the 62-year-old musician confirmed the arrest and that Wood had been released on bail. No further comment was released.

Police officers were called to a Surrey village at 11:30 p.m. yesterday in response to a domestic incident. Ekaterina Ivanova, Wood's 20-year-old girlfriend, alleged he attacked her during an argument.

Wood and his estranged wife, Jo, had been married for 24 years before their divorce become finalized last month. Adultery was cited as the reason for the split. They have two children together.

A police spokesman told the Guardian, "We can confirm that a 62-year-old man from Esher was arrested last night, Wednesday, 2 December, on suspicion of assault in connection with a domestic incident in Claygate high street. He has this afternoon been released on bail until a date in January, pending further inquiries."
