Rihanna's New Album Does Not Have Full Disclosure
Rihanna entered the recording studio last March to start work on "Rated R," and she knew right away what kind of album she was not going to be recording.
"I didn't want to talk about relationships. Or at least, I didn't want to do just love songs. Love wasn't what I wanted to talk about," the singer said in an interview with USA Today.
That information is not shocking, considering what had happened last February in her personal life. Rihanna, and Chris Brown were scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards, but canceled their plans to appear less than an hour before the show. Before the end of the evening, it was reported that Brown was in police custody for attacking a woman. Soon after, photographs of Rihanna's beat-up face surfaced.
After the assault, going back to work wasn't the first thing on her mind, but she couldn't stay away from the studio forever, and when she was ready to make music again she found that the studio was a very peaceful place for her.
Rihanna says that "Rated R" is her "most personal album," but the songs don't refer directly to her personal life.
"Rated R" has a different feel than previous Rihanna albums
