Seems the world just can't get enough of vampires.
Creator of all things creepy, director Tim Burton, has revealed his next project: an adaptation of "Dark Shadows," the '60s soap opera with a vampire protagonist and a general supernatural spirit.
Before that, both Burton and his intended "Shadows" star Johnny Depp, who will be going from pirate to vampire, said the TV adaptation would shoot next year, reports an MTV blogger.
"We're actually going to shoot that film next September/October with Tim Burton and Johnny," producer Graham King said. If all goes as planned, maybe we'll be able to view the film by Fall 2011.
Burton, creator of nightmarish films such as "Edward Scissorhands" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas," has ironically never done any vampire films. But he has worked with Depp before - seven times in total after the soon-to-be-released "Alice in Wonderland," making "Dark Shadows" their eighth collaboration.
