Alexa Ray Joel Cancels Performance After Faialed Attempted Suicide

Alexa Ray Joel canceled the performance at the New York Stock Exchange, reported New York Daily News.

The singer, daughter of Billy Joel and model, Christie Brinkley, canceled her performance after being taken to the hospital for overdose.

Alexa Joel was scheduled to perform at the 86th annual New York Stock Exchange tree lighting ceremony before the 23-year-old overdosed on homeopathic allergy pills in a failed attempted suicide.

According to reporters, the singer panicked and called 911 after having consumed the pills.

Alexa Joel attempted suicide because she was still upset over the almost one-year long break-up with her ex-boyfriend, Jimmy Riot.

Medical officials told reporters it is nearly impossible to overdose on the kind of all-natural pills she consumed.

Taking Alexa Joel's place as the main attraction in the tree lighting ceremony is Kate Voegele.

Alexa Joel is set to perform at the J&R Music World on Thursday.
