Adam Lambert to Appear on

ABC officials have confirmed what 'American Idol's' season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert posted on his Twitter account, that in deed he will be appearing on 'The View' December 10.

In a post on his Twitter fan page, Lambert stated, "Hey friends! I will be performing and hanging w the ladies of ABC's The View Thursday the 10th!" ABC then confirmed his post, but saying that because of scheduling conflicts, the episode will be pre-taped. On the show, Lambert will be making an appearance as well as performing.

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation president Jarrett Barrios told The Los Angeles Times that "ABC has taken a step toward fairness by inviting Adam Lambert to perform on 'The View',"

Lambert will also appear the night before his appearance on 'The View' on Barbara Walters' Ten Most Fascinating People of 09. It will be his first appearance on the network since his controversial performance on the American Music Awards last month where among other sexual acts, he simulated oral sex with one of his male dancers.

After canceling appearances on other ABC programs, Lambert is back on December 10 on 'The View'.
