Diane Sawyer Says Goodbye to

ABC's Diane Sawyer will move from "Good Morning America" to "World News."

On Monday's episode of "Good Morning America," Diane Sawyer announced that her time with the series has come to a close. After appearing in 2,881 shows, Sawyer is making moves from ABC's morning program to evening with "World News."

Her last show will be Friday, reported Fox43.com. And one week later she will replace Charles Gibson as the anchor for "World News," her first episode scheduled to air on Dec. 21. Gibson is retiring.

In the past, Gibson and Sawyer worked together as co-anchors for "Good Morning America," a work agreement that began temporary but was so successful that it continued.
