Chris Cuomo May Join ABC's '20/20'

It looks as though ABC News' Chris Cuomo may become the newest "20/20" co-host, reported ABC Tuesday.

After the network decided against Cuomo for "Good Morning America," a source revealed that he has begun actively negotiating for a spot with the nighttime show, but was unable to confirm whether or not Cuomo was or will definitely be hired.

If negotiations prove successful, Cuomo will be anchoring alongside Elizabeth Vargas.

An executive within the company told ABC News that JuJu Chang has already been named Cuomo's successor as newsreader for "Good Morning America," while George Stephanopoulos is the most likely replacement for Diane Sawyer.

Sawyer announced her transition from "Good Morning America" to the "World News" on Monday's show.
