Weezer Front Man Suffers Three Cracked Ribs from Bus Crash
Rivers Cuomo, lead singer of band Weezer, cracked three ribs and received minor internal injuries when the bus driver lost control, due to black ice in the road, and crashed on a New York highway.
Rivers was accompanied by his wife, his daughter, the nanny and his assistant.
His wife, daughter and nanny were all uninjured, but his assistant sustained two fractured ribs and fractured lower vertebrae.
No fatalities occurred due to the accident.
The tour bus was heading toward Boston for the Monday night performance of the "Weezer Raditude" tour at Boston University's Agganis Arena.
The band members' posted on their Web site announcing the remaining three December concerts were canceled and information for refund and/or rescheduling is pending.
