John Stamos Targeted for $680,000 Extortion Attempt

John Stamos announced he was blackmailed for $680,000, reported People Magazine.

The "Full House" star told reporters a man and a woman attempted to blackmail him with photos of, what Stamos claims, are fans posing for pictures.

The 46-year-old actor was vacationing in Florida on 2004 when he met Allison Coss, with whom he attended a party where photos were allegedly shot of him.

In November the actor received an email threat demanding $680,000 or the photos would be sold to tabloids.

The alleged extortionists, Coss and Scott Sippola, were arrested at a Michigan airport by an FBI agent who posed as a representative for Stamos in the money drop.

The police raided the home of the pair and found three photos, Stamos's personal contact number and a list of contact numbers for three tabloid magazines.

The suspects have posted bond and the case is pending.
