Cage Sued by Ex
Things aren't getting any better for actor Nicolas Cage. He now has more financial woes.
The 45-year-old National Treasure star is being sued by his ex, Christina Fulton.
According to People, the 42-year-old former actress alleges Cage committed fraud and breach of contract. Fulton claims that Cage gave her a house in L.A. for raising their son Weston. She thought the home was in her name, but discovered otherwise after Cage found himself in over $8 million in debt.
In September, the Gone in 60 Seconds actor gave her a notice that she had to leave the house within 60 days. She also says that Cage regularly paid her credit card bills, but recently neglected to do so and alleges a member of his staff charged unwanted items to her card.
Now Fulton sees herself in $1.2 million in debt and is seeking $13 million worth of damages.
Cages's lawyer told TMZ, "The lawsuit is an absurd claim. All of these claims are long-time barred by the statute of limitations and are baseless."
