Ex-Girlfriend Sues Nicolas Cage

Financial drama just keeps coming for Nicolas Cage.

Nicolas Cage already owes money to the government, and now his ex-girlfriend is asking for a hefty chunk of change.

Christina Fulton, who raised Cage's now 18-year-old son, is suing the actor and his former business manager, Samuel J. Levin, the Associated Press reports.

Her complaint is that Cage promised her a house, but she has now discovered that the title is not in her name. Foreclosure proceedings are in effect on the house, and Fulton has been ordered to leave.

According to Fulton, a former actress, Cage and Levin are responsible for the more than $1.2 million worth of debt she is in. In total, she places her damages at $13 million.

Marty Singer, Cage's attorney, does not feeling threatened by the latest legal issue for his client. "This lawsuit is ridiculous," Singer told People. "Nicolas Cage has given her approximately three million every year for many years, even though he was only obligated to pay her six thousand a month in child support. We expect this lawsuit to be promptly thrown out."

Even if Singer manages to squash these claims, he and his client still have pressing legal matters to deal with. Cage has also filed a lawsuit against Levin for negligence in handling his finances. In response, Levin countersued, claiming that he is owed money and that Cage did not heed his warnings about lavish spending.
