Rihanna Gets Backwards Tattoo

Rihanna gets her personal motto tattooed on her chest...backwards.

Rihanna recently got some new ink - but the crazy part is, it's backwards! Who would have thought? OK!Magazine.com reports Rihanna went to East Side Ink, a New York City tattoo shop, the other night at 2 a.m. and gave her request to Keith "Bang Bang" McCurdy. McCurdy is an artist and owner of East Side Ink.

McCurdy told OK! Magazine that Rihanna wanted to get 'Never a failure, always a lesson' tattooed on her chest, but she wanted it backwards so she could read it whenever she looked in a mirror.

Rihanna told McCurdy that this quote is her motto in life, and that she considers things to be lessons instead of mistakes. McCurdy told OK! that Rihanna said she wanted this tattoo to be more subtle than her others, so she got grey ink instead of black so the tattoo wouldn't draw too much attention.
